Itinerary

Day 1: Reykjavík : WELCOME to ICELAND

On arrival at to Keflavik airport transfer by private Van to your hotel in the centre of Reykjavik. Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country's capital and largest city. It's home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. The striking concrete Hallgrimskirkja church and rotating Perlan glass dome offer sweeping views of the sea and nearby hills. Exemplifying the island’s volcanic activity is the geothermal Blue Lagoon spa, near the village of Grindavik.

Day 02: Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon Day Trip

Breakfast. Today you'll travel ~1.5 hours to the village of Fludir (in the Golden Circle area) to relax at the Secret Lagoon. The steam rising into the air gives the place a magical feeling, and the water stays at 38-40 degrees Celsius all year. Enjoy a nice warm bath even when it's freezing outside. In the whole area, there are several geothermal spots and a little geyser which erupts every 5 minutes. Included in the tour is admission to the Lagoon; please don't forget to bring your bathing suit. After 2 hours at the Lagoon, you embark upon the quintessential Icelandic tour to the Geysir geothermal area in the Haukadalur valley, where the Strokkur fountain geyser spouts water high into the air every few minutes, before visiting the majestic “Golden Waterfall” of Gullfoss, considered by many to be Iceland’s most beautiful waterfall. Then onward to the historic geological wonder Þingvellir National Park, which is not only the seat of the world’s oldest still-functioning parliament

Day 03:

Breakfast. Perlan Wonders of Iceland Museum and Ice Cave Exhibition Entry - Perlan is an iconic glass dome building sitting on the highest hill in Reykjavík. In Perlan you can visit an exquisite exhibition where you can learn about the wonders of Icelandic nature and experience them in a unique and unforgettable way. Visitors will feel the power of volcanoes, earthquakes and geothermal energy and see a 10 m high realistically rendered bird cliff, rich with bird and plant specimens. They will experience oceanic wonders and watch as whales swim below their feet. Walk through a 100-meter-long real Ice Cave, the first of its kind in the world and learn about Icelandic glaciers, their bleak future and the effects of global warming in an amazing interactive exhibition. Whale Watching Cruise - Meet us at afternoon at the Vesturbugt harbor area located in downtown Reykjavik. After a safety briefing, board your boat and set sail in search for some gentle giants in the cold North Atlantic waters. Iceland is one of the best countries in the world for well-organized whale watching. The ship has 3 outdoor viewing platforms and a large indoor saloon with toilet facilities and free Wi-Fi, always full with light snacks, hot drinks, soft drinks and alcohol beverages

Day 04:

Breakfast. Reykjavik City Sightseeing by Minibus - Your Reykjavik sightseeing tour includes short stops at several different locations around the Greater capital area. Visit the presidential residence at Bessastadir, built between 1761 and 1766 and home to Iceland's president. In Reykjavik you'll go to the Perlan building, which was built on water tanks that hold the city's hot water supply. Here you can enjoy the spectacular view over Reykjavik and its surroundings from Perlan’s top-floor revolving restaurant. Explore Hofdi House in northern Reykjavik, where the all-important summit between President Ronald Reagan and Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986. You will also visit Hallgrimskirkja (the largest church in Iceland and one of its tallest structures), the University of Iceland area and the old town center, where the Icelandic parliament Althingi and the town hall are situated, as well as the Harpa concert hall

Day 05: Blue Lagoon Return Transfers

Breakfast. Get picked up from your hotel in Reykjavík(or designated bus top) for the transfer from Reykjavík to the Blue Lagoon. On your way to the Blue Lagoon you will drive through the lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula, the drive between Reykjavík and the Blue Lagoon is approx. 50 minutes. The Blue Lagoon was formed in 1976 during operation at the nearby geothermal power plant. In the years that followed, people began to bathe in the unique water and apply the silica mud to their skin.

DAY 6: Aurora Borealis Northern Lights Hunting

Breakfast. Dress warm, and proceed with your expert guide as they explain the science behind the natural phenomenon as you drive deeper into the dark of the Icelandic night. The lights are at their most frequent in late autumn and winter/early spring. Between the autumn equinox and spring equinox (15 September – 15 April), However, the weather is also of importance, and September, October and November tend to be wet and snow-less in the north. From December the weather dries up, and there is normally plenty of snow. If you come in December or January, you experience the polar nights with atmospheric evenings and very short days. In February and March the days are longer and you see more of the snow-clad landscapes during daytime, and the evenings still offer maximum chances to spot the northern lights.

DAY 7:

Breakfast. Day Free to Explore the City on your own, and shop some souvenirs Optional Tour - South Iceland, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beach - On this tour you will journey through south Iceland that features many of Iceland‘s most awe-inspiring destinations, including the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and Reynisfjara volcanic beach to name but a few. Travelling across the lush farmlands that cut between the coast and the mountain ranges and glaciers of the interior highlands you‘ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, visit the main natural attractions and get to know the fascinating history of the region. Day 8: DEPARTURE

Breakfast. Today, after breakfast check out and private car transfer to airport to take a flight back home.
